Zach Sasser Augusta GA Death, Obituary – The community of Evans, Georgia, is mourning the loss of Zachary Jordan Sasser, who tragically passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 37. A beloved husband, father, and friend, Zach’s passing leaves a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born and raised in Savannah, Zach was known for his infectious personality and an ability to make lasting connections with everyone he met. A natural-born leader, Zach’s career in business development and Lean Six Sigma was a reflection of his sharp mind and commitment to improvement. After earning a business degree from Georgia Southern University and a master’s from LSU, Zach was determined to make a difference in everything he did.
But beyond his professional success, Zach’s true joy came from spending time with his loved ones. Whether on a boat, cheering on his Clemson Tigers, or driving his kids around in a golf cart, Zach thrived in the moments that mattered most. His family—wife Brett, children Mallie and Davis, and countless close friends—were the center of his world. His humor and positive energy made him the life of every gathering, whether it was a St. Patrick’s Day parade or a quiet afternoon on the water.
As a father, Zach was hands-on, always present for his children and offering endless love and support. His infectious optimism and zest for life will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many others who crossed his path. His passing leaves a void in the community, but his spirit will continue to shine through in the memories he leaves behind.
Zach is survived by his wife, Brett; children Mallie and Davis; parents Dave and Becki Sasser; sisters Micah Morris and Kary Glass; in-laws Bobby and Cathy Bentley; and a host of family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. at the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. until the service begins.
Though he is gone, Zach Sasser’s legacy of love, laughter, and friendship will live on forever.
