Marcel Koersen Death Listowel ON – On Tuesday morning, a tragic accident in North Perth claimed the life of one individual and left two others injured. The collision occurred just after 8 a.m. at the intersection of Perth Line 86 and Perth Road 140, prompting immediate responses from multiple emergency services.
Perth County OPP, Perth County Paramedic Services, and the North Perth Fire Department rushed to the scene of the crash. Upon arrival, first responders found that a commercial motor vehicle had collided with a passenger vehicle. Tragically, a 35-year-old man, who was a passenger in the smaller vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers involved in the crash sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The OPP has launched an investigation into the accident, with assistance from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team. Investigators closed the affected sections of Perth Line 86 and Perth Road 140 for approximately 12 hours to gather evidence and reconstruct the scene. The roads were reopened at around 8 p.m.
